Privacy glass question

My 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8 appears to have factory privacy glass (seems to be part of the glass itself) on the rear side windows but the tailgate glass appears to have been stuck on (one part is torn).

My question is: was the tailgate left untinted at the factory ?

Not to my knowledge.

Sounds you possibly might have a replacement tailgate. ... - .- -.
