Sub woofer upgrade?

I have a TD6 HS with single CD player and 9 speaker system. Is is possible/plausible to upgrade to a sub woofer system. The sound is pretty decent but I would like to fit a sub woofer if it didnt mean too many extra fitments or wiring etc. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

I have this fitted, fits nicley behind the cover on the left hand site of boot.

Nice compact size and wires in easily as all the inputs required for sub are in the left hand side of the boot.

Been trying to find an original part, however that unit looks like a decent set-up. Will PM you for more info. Cheers No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Where are the rca outputs from the stereo? The only connectors I can find are related to the tv/dvd. I know where I can get the power etc but not the actual rca ouputs from the stereo for the sub? Reformed

Tap into the cars original speaker wires that enter the stock amplifier located in the left hand side of the boot. Make sure it's the "in" side and not the output though. (You'll need wiring diagram to connect to right wires)

Would take pics, but I'm at work and have no means of posting pics at the moment.

In Vogue upwards that cubby box houses the nav/tv/amp etc so there is no room for a sub in there

I've installed a pioneer slim sub in the boot which is on show, but easily removable and very small

Wired it using a line level converter off the amp feed to the existing sub for signal, +12 comes from the 80a feed to the rear fuseboard via a 20a fuse, ground comes from the audio ground terminal block which is in the cubby box, ign switched is on the other side around the fuseboard somewhere

Excellent bass response as you'd expect (standard sub is fairly dire) and just unplugs when required to do so 2008/58 FFRR 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

Anyone know the original spec for 2003 SE? Everywhere I read about it, they say with sub. I have no sub. Is this correct or has the sub been removed at some time. If that is the case I would like to try to get an original replacement but can't find a part number or where to get one on British sites.

American parts sites have the following numbers for the sub: XQA000020 or XQA50003 No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

This is a link to the us site: It looks similar to the fitment in Britain in the left rear of the car.
