Hello everyone, I have the following problem with a customer's car: the lower electric tailgate does not open, I have already replaced the 30A fuse and the keypad switch. Is there an emergency release? The upper tailgate works 100%. Do you have a code reader ? Are there any error codes ?

This is what it says -

Power tailgate does not open

Possible causes -
Low battery voltage
Mechanical obstruction
Switch failure
Power tailgate latch does not release
Soft close actuator malfunction
Power tailgate actuator(s) (upper) fail to drive
Software issue
No electrical connection / CAN bus communication

Associated actions -
Check the battery and charging system
Clear any mechanical obstruction
Check the power tailgate switch for damage/internal failure
Check power tailgate latch assembly for adjustment/damage
Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, check the body control module and tailgate control module for relevant DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
Check the condition and installation of the power tailgate
GO to Pinpoint Test B.

first of all, thank you very much for the tip, I downloaded it and read it extensively, but unfortunately I couldn't find any instructions as to whether there is an emergency release for the lower tailgate, like on the L322. Keyboard, fuse, battery (new) checked and replaced, without result. If I press the bottom button = dead. Let's see if a reader has already had this, if I could open it then it would be easier.

As far as I know there's not easy release option like there is on the L322.

If you really need to open it, then I guess you either have to try to get to the actuators on the side of the boot -

A great thank you, I love all the videos from Raymies Garage, will try to open the lower tailgate.
