2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Baltic Blue
5.0 LWB assistance

Hi folks

I am searching for a 5.0 LWB and possibly found one.

It had full dealers SH with 90k miles. Being sold by a trader.

I have previously had 1 x 3.6 TDV8 and 2 x 4.4 TDV8’s. Had DPF issues on all of them - which ultimately led to their deaths…. All had about 120k when the issues began.

My driving is about 8-10 miles a day; Monday to Friday.

Is the 5.0 more reliable than the diesels?

I convinced the trader to add a three year RAC Platinum warranty.

Thanks for help.

journeys of predominantly 8-10 miles a day are prime DPF issues I'd say so yes, you should be in a better position. The 5.0l guys will be along soon to say how good and reliable they are, I understand the earlier ones needed the timing chains monitoring but are largely reliable. Enjoy. First time FFRR owner

Thank you, sir!

This is a MY2018 - perhaps mid way point rather than an early 405.

Regards

Agreed that the petrol is much better than diesel for what you are doing. I regard the petrol as simpler than the diesels and more reliable. Check for corrosion of pipework underneath, eg anti roll control which can be expensive and parts are not always available.

Good luck. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Yes - certainly.

I am looking for facelift (MY18) - LWB 5.0.

The one I saw had all the toys - including exec seating etc (I think that’s what it’s called) - pretty much all options were ticked.

I will keep a look out for others too. 2018 5.0 V8 Supercharged SVAuto LWB
