I'm not a fan of the straight grain woods that LR have been using over the last few years to be honest that's why I generally go for the Piano Black trims.
Not sure why that is, perhaps it's something to do with sustainability, but I really liked the fine grain American walnut used in the last of the Classics, (see CSK) or the burr walnuts from the classic Jags.
I'd definately go for polished Burr Walnut if it were an option, like most Rolls' are trimmed in or going back to the XJ series Daimers but I feel like the latest woods are less drawing room and more IKEA kitchen sadly.
I do know some aftermarket specialist can offer replacement veneers of your choice, but it's a bit pricy, about £5k per car, so why don't LR offer that as an option as the current offerings cheapen the interior terribly..
Anyone know why LR have chosen to go down this path with their wood trims ? Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster
