My car was registered August 2015. I've just received a letter as well. So slightly off topic, but what is MY16?

Thanks Ash, that’s what I suspected I guess, so why have I received a letter? I thought it is only MY16 onwards. |

I think it is a specific VIN range and so it maybe picks up some late MY15 cars in that list too. |

No idea - but its certainly in full swing here in the UK - got my letter/pouch last week too. US often get safety recalls that never get done in the UK - there's less of a culture of litigation here. But there is a bottom line sales incentive on the security issue because JLR products have become uninsurable in the UK so they had to do something to defuse the situation. Are JLR OK to insure in the states? If no worse than any other car I doubt you'll get the update.... I was told by the sales manager that in the case of my car MY21 if I left the keys in the car (both apparently) and locked the car with the inControl app that would wipe the keys memory and £1200 to recode. Anybody else heard of this ? 2021 SVautobiography Dynamic Black ( Black wheels need to go )

I didn't think it was possible to lock the car with the smart key inside, although I haven't tried 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
