The 2" recievers certainly used to exist for the L405, Red Merle had one fitted to his - Picture on page 2 - https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic45243.html

Yeah, your going to be using adapters on top of adapters on a ball swan neck and quite a heavy load with considerable weight on that lever point, which doesn't sound like a good idea. At best it's going to be unstable and wobble all over the place, most likely will just sink to the ground if it doesn't snap off at the ball joint.

I hear what you’re saying but given the swan neck is rated to 150kg, the bak rak adaptor is rated at 100kg and my need is to add 90kg the load on the swan neck is less than I normally load it for my caravan (my target and recommended towball weight is 100kg) I’m happy to try a receiver. The only potential turning moment will be in the bak rak adaptor as everything else are solid/bolted connections. Shame there isn’t a detachable 2” receiver adaptor which would be perfect. I don’t want to add anything like a ‘strap’ to the tailgate as mine is a composite (plastic) construction so very lightweight.
