Thank you for your advice.
I will await the reply of Duckworth then and hope they can make the full key (Plan A).

Kind regards,

What would be the difference for 2005 RR HSE US version?

Ideally without any need to remove console or parts. I am planning to get GAP IID tool, will it help?

Well first you have to establish if your car uses EWS3 or EWS4, being a 2005 vehicle it could be either, and what exact engine do you have in your car ?

What transmission do you have ? this is the easiest way to tell - from 2005 until 2009 a 4.4-litre Jaguar-derived engine or a 4.2-litre supercharged variant of the Jaguar engine partnered with the ZF 6HP-26 transmission

and no the GAP IID will be of no use to you if it's earlier Petrol BMW M62 V8 engine !

same as mine Smile

sadly you do have to access the EWS3 box in the centre console, your best bet is to find a small BMW shop in your town, as they know best how to code these EWS3 boxes , same thing in BMW X5's and E39 models, so very common problem for most good mechanics
