L322 rear box delete

Hello Chums,

I'm a newbie just about to buy my first and probably last range rover. Being a bit of a philistine I want a little more v8 rumble so I am considering a rear box delete. The cheapest set of replacement pipes I can find currently are £350 which seems a lot. Just wondering if anyone has done this recently and can pass details of any suppliers.

I know this subject has been covered before, but there maybe more up to date information available now.

cheers Rolling Eyes

Hi not recently, but I got mine from these guys.

I put this on Youtube, not noisey at all, rumble nicely off the walls and tunnels but can't hear them in the car once over say 30 mph. You've just got to find someone to fit them.

Make sure you get the ones with the resonators, the straight throughs are noisier but don't have that deep down rumble like mine.

Andy's is a diesel, yours, the V8 BMW unit will sound like this... it's far too loud and I fitted a smaller rear box off an Audi IIRC. Details in the thread in my sig strip...

Hi, yes on the diesel it's much more subdued when you remove the back box, that second video's sound is a bit to much to live with on a daily basis.

But you'd be down with the kids at Halfords mind. Init.
