So my near side side step (which I think is original LR) has given out whilst on holiday in Cornwall. A combination of rust, repeated roof box access and an Xxl owner have caused it to give (with an awful, rusty crunching sound!).
I couldn’t see any single used ones on eBay, so started looking at new ‘aftermarket’. There were some threads from a few years ago but looking for any recent recommends for good value steps that will take the weight of a real man Do aftermarket steps fit onto the LR brackets (which I hope are still good) or is it a full replacement? Does anyone have a left side step? Did you take them off to fix them, or do it in situ? My Previous RR's!

put it in off road height and drilled off the remaining rivets, releasing the trim, then drilled the pilot holes then put in the self tappers. there may be easier methods though First time FFRR owner |
