TDv8 Secondary air charge valve actuator vacuum hose routing

Hey guys, first time posting, been using the forum for information for a while though!

2012 4.4 tdv8
Recently replaced my drive-belt and idlers, water pump etc. When I took off the fan shroud I unwittingly unplugged the vacuum lines for the COSV without noticing.

Anyway, I have it all back together and plugged one end of the vacuum line into the actuator but I can't figure out where the other end plugs into. I've searched my heart out but can't find any details on the vacuum line itself! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As expected I get the p004c-77 and p004b-71 when I go over 3500 and try to use the second turbo.

Also found the vacuum line pictured below floating under the LHS airbox, I did try joining them with a coupler (thought the join might've been carelessly lost when I removed the shroud) but the code still persists, this line one seems to be coming from the bottom of the engine somewhere but I'm not sure.

Thanks JayGee, I thought it must've been a breather pipe.

Any idea where the vacuum line feeding the the secondary air change-over valve connects up to? I have one end in the CSOV but can't find any reference to where the remaining end goes!

If you remove the large air intake rubber hose from the intercooler to the throttle body and then investigate down the front of the engine under the passenger side (UK) rocker cover you will find hidden a solenoid valve with several vacuum pipes attached and this is where the other end should go. I only know this because I had the two pipes which run from the vacuum pump come off when I was investigating a coolant leak a couple of weeks ago. I found the rubber tubes which they plugged into had ‘relaxed’ with age and were not gripping the plastic tubes. As a fix for now I put small cable ties around each joint to keep them in place. It was a fiddle due to the limited access but seems to be working so far. 2012 Westminster TDV8 4.4 Indus Silver

thanks for that. With your directions I was able to get that line plugged in and now the second turbo works. Never expected it to be located there to be honest cheers

Hello everyone,

the rubber ends of my vacuum lines are quite loose and I am not sure if they are tight. I want to change them anyway.
I found the part number of the first pipe (LR022879) and looking for the second pipe, as marked in the picture here:

From part catalogue, I found this. Is that the part I need? why is it greyed out? not available as a single pipe?

I couldn’t find the second pipe, I think its sold as whole assembly. I just put a zip tie on the end marked with nr 2 in the picture above and replaced the first pipe 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
