Dash clock time

Hi all,

Not the most drastic issue (especially for a RR) but does anyone else have a clock on the dash that keeps losing the correct time - I set mine quite frequently but it appears to get out of sync to the tuine of 2-3 minutes.... all the time....

All my previous cars stayed in sync and I think got the time signal from RDS..?

Anyone else had this or know of a solution?

Ta Muchly Ash

There's a BCM update that addresses this problem.

I had this and updated the instrument cluster (only possible via SDD as Gap IID doesn't have the memnory capacity) thinking this would solve it and it didn't, I then discovered that it was related to the BCM. This can be done by Gap IID or SDD, kept perfect time ever since. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

ooh - Thanks 4RRS

How did you get hold of the update may I ask, or is it inbuilt into IID already?

I don't suppose you know if there is a wiki on how to perform the updates do you?

Thanks again..! Ash

You need to purchase it from GAP (follow the instructions on their website). Once downloaded to your tool its a straightforward process, however I would suggest having a decent battery support unit connected to your vehicle battery or 'jumped' to another vehicle while performing the upgrade.

If you have access to SDD, then it's free, but will definitely need battery support as it won't allow you to progress through the update stages until battery voltage is supported.

Hope this helps! L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.
