2010 Logic 7 amplifier to aftermarket

Hello,

I have replaced my factory speakers of the Logic 7 unit as it really sounded poor in my opinion. So new Focals, Hertzes and Audisons are in. However I am still not satisfied with the sound of the system and considering to replace the factory amp to an aftermarket one.
Has anyone done that on a 2010?
Is there anything particular to be cautios about?

TIA

I would expect that so long as it is a DSP MOST amp, it should be largely plug and play.

I suspect some of the poor audio comes from the head unit itself, maybe the equaliser on it just isn't particularly broad-reaching.

When I upgraded the head unit in my 2010 L322, that had a customisable equaliser and the sound was significantly improved, despite still being the stock speakers and amp. So, if you intend on keeping the head unit, maybe also an amp with an equaliser. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thanks Gary, which head unit have you replaced yours to? I am also checking now to put the Logic 7HD 1200 watts factory ampy in, from a salvage vehicle.

But the factory head unit sucks for sureā€¦

Hi garyRR - not wishing to divert the thread, but did the Aoonav replicate all the functions of standard factory head unit?

I've searched lots of threads and seen images of your replacement unit fitted (which looks great), but I have never been able to find a definitive review / opinion thread where you talked about the upsides and downsides of this solution.

I'd love to read a warts 'n all review of your findings.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDv8

I'm not sure why you'd want to replicate the features of the old head unit? It's pretty ancient tech aka anything is better. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thought I'd hop on the thread here too so I can keep track Smile

Reasons for wanting to keep the native functionality;
- Suspension info
- Surround Cameras
- Setting the clock
- Using the TV
- etc.

Which bit of the sound - as in, what source?

CD's sound pretty good, but there's a noticeable improvement in sound quality when you use a source such as a CarPlay provided lossless audio file.
