It's not a nice job, but it is manageable on a driveway. I can't believe when I originally rang round garages, none of them wanted to do it (including 2 LR specialists), so by default I had to do it myself. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Hi Gary, thanks for this guide. Don't suppose you could advise what the final code of the error message is? Sounds like there are 6x sensors, I have the code P040D-00 Exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor A - circuit high (2B) , I noticed the linked thread ended in 2F.

00 is the sensor in this thread. See the step for testing the resistance and continuity of the sensor. It requires no removal of any parts to diagnose. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Thanks for the quick response, I assumed it was sensors A to F! I will check that out, only noticed when using IID to reset service indicator, no error lights, but reoccurs straight away.

Having done that job myself went OK, that really is a bad situation to be in maybe a stud extractor, I think the head is stainless steel so well hard to saw or file. worse case the manifold will have to come off. |
