My L322 4.4 diesel rides and drives great but for a long time has had a slight rubbing noise when turning gently to the left, high or low speed, doesn't matter.

It's not loud and no one else notices it. I've asked the shop when its been in for service and they just shrug and say don't worry about it but it's getting a little more prominent and I can't help think it'd be better sorted before something eventually gives way or causes another issue.

It's started a little going straight now too, mostly on a gentle left turn and not loud, doesn't feel bad, just aware of the slight rubbing type noise and can't figure it out.

Had new pads and shoes and no different for that (no better or worse), suspension works like a dream... stumped.

Any thoughts??

I have a similar rubbing noise from the o/s when turning right at speeds above 20mph (roundabout for example) and only when I get a bit of a lean on.
I've checked brake heat shields for contact but all is clear.
The internet seems to suggest that it could be a wheel bearing or CV joint.
I bought the car with a front o/s split boot which I had repaired but I don't know how long it had been leaking grease so I'm expecting to be told that that CV joint is toast.
But it wont stop me driving it until the next inspection. ---------------------------------
