Can't help with number 2 I'm afraid, the only thing that springs to mind is to check your sunroof drain tubes.

Point 2 sounds like a badly fitted replacement windscreen. Take it back to the dealer and get them to check / have re-done. They may have *just* had it done and could get Autoglass or whoever straight back out.

Thanks for replies. The screen does look very fresh and so that may be the issue. I will check in the morning when I take it in. No evidence of anything around the sunroof. |

The selling main dealer garage say they did not replace the screen. My main dealer garage say that it is a non original non oem screen poorly fitted which is why it is leaking. Not best pleased about that! Thought that would have been picked up in the "165 point check".

If you bought the vehicle from them they are obliged to sort the issue out as it was clearly present at the point of sale.

Water ingress isn’t covered by the JLR extended warranty either so make sure they sort it and dry the car properly as you’ll be on your own for any issues that they can put down to a water leak. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

So finally got everything sorted out but not without a lot of stress and about a months delay. The engine light was a nox sensor which the selling dealer should have dealt with pre sale so that was delayed as it wasn't a warranty issue. Likewise the windscreen which should have been replaced with a LR screen not aftermarket. My local dealership were brilliant in following this through which involved endless conversations and messages. Wish I could say the same about the guys who sold it to me who were totally uncommunicative and obstructive. Not one phone call with any sort of apology. |
