Land Rover have now found a way of charging for the Data Plan and will be charging me £420 a year from the end of July. I don't use the wifi much, so £420 would not be worth it.

Don't laugh, but I manage with an iphone on calls/texts and 1GB of data for £5 per month (no, it's not steam driven!). I know I could add more and use the phone as a hotspot, but is there any way I can get the eSim in the car to link to another provider so that I could buy an annual plan with, say, 20/30GB?

Not sure if it's applicable but I just swopped to SMARTY for my phone (sim only). Unlimited calls and texts and 50GB of data for £8 per month.

Yep, that's probably what I'll do, failing being able to connect the eSim in the car.

I now know that as long as anyone in the car has their phone it is totally pointless. letters not necessarily in the right order

The only other advantage is that there is the potential for a better signal as the car system is connected to an external aerial.

But, at £35 per month, I'll not be renewing and just use phone as hotspot.

Wasn’t quite sure so your confirmation helps! Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I did not renew mine. I can’t see any advantage over using a phone as a hotspot. The Spotify interface is exactly the same on PiviPro as it was before. Also I think when your phone is connected to the car it uses the external antenna anyway.
