AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING!

I have just finished rebuilding the engine on my 2014 range rover 4.4 tdv8 engine. But I'm Having problem with the air conditioning. I have had it recharged but the compressor will not kick in. I suspect there may be a computer/system reboot? But having no prior experience with the range rover marque I'm unsure. The compressor turns and the system has not been overfilled. Could anyone shed any light on the problem.

You can hot wire the clutch on the compressor pulley to force the compressor to run.

There are a couple of factors that would prevent a clutch engaging. A faulty clutch or low pressure. Low pressure could be either due to low system pressure or a faulty sensor.

You best option would be to get it coupled to an OBD reader and see the live data from the a/c system that will give you pretty much everything helpful for a diagnosis from pressures, temperatures and compressor rpm.

That seems good advice, the system was totally emptied when the engine was taken out. I did not see the pressures or any quantities which was put in the system when filled . I will have to try to get the live readings on my code reader. Thank you.
