Wales 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

UPDATE

The knocking still hasn't gone away, the vehicle has now had brand new upper and lower control arms, new drop links, new inner and outer tie rods and alignment still the knocking is there.

I can create the noise when going over bumps or tapping the breaks sharply at low speeds and it happens every time. My next thought is the transfer box has anyone else had these symptoms? Seem to be throwing money at it and not getting any closer.

Roll bar bushes? Mine were totaly shot but they had not started making any noise. They are bonded to the roll bar so unfortunatley you have to replace the whole thing. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Where the control arms torqued up to the correct spec with the wheels on the ground?

I was looking at a video from overlanding 4WD and he had knocking from the front, first they thought it to be warpt disc's, but that didn't help. Then they realised that to pot's on the front calipers where sized. Put new calipers on and it solved it. So i guess that's what i will check next, since i am chasing the same issue.....

...I've got exactly the same issue... and have changed everything up front like you.

It's like the brake disks are loose .... they aren't.

I'm thinking Prop Bearing ? Driving me nuts trying to figure out what it is. I've also had a new drivers side driveshaft but it did it before then. Gavin

I also have a short muffled bang from the NSF when the brakes are applied sharply at low speed, but I haven't had it over bumps.

You said you had new airbags. Was it just the bags or the whole strut? If just the bags, I would suspect the struts. The dampers will be worn. John

The shocks on mine were very nearly as stiff at 170k miles as the new ones I put on which was a suprise. No oil in the bags either to suggest leaking. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

If the struts are Dunlop ones it could be that. My NSF one knocks if I hit a pot hole or rough road, rest of time silence. -----------------------
