I took mine in recently for something else and they said they'd done the security update. I understood it couldn't be done over the air, but could be wrong. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

So oddly, when I got out of the car last night, a software upgrade message appeared on the infotainment screen so it has done an OTA update overnight. Not seen what it has broken yet… 😂 |

I could be wrong as well, but I'm pretty sure only dealers can perform the upgrade and you need to bring the car + both FOBs for it to happen. |

Had a letter recently asking me to take my MY23 and 2 keys to the dealer for a security update. Booked in for tomorrow. Should take less than an hour apparently. MY23 D350 HSE

It seems to me since the security update, they have removed the ability to unlock the car from the app. You can still lock the car from the app but as you do so, a message pops up reminding you not to have left your keys in the car (on the basis the app wont let you back in if you do!).
