Any drop noticed by eye is too much, especially after just an hour.

Fairly sure it didn't just level itself. One corner was noticeably lower even though it was parked on a flat and level surface. |

Would suspect a leak which isnt normal. Could be a bag gone, air line or valve block. Most common is a leaking bag. It can't be to bad as the compressor is keeping up with the leak when running. I guess you don't have an air suspension inactive message on the dash as you got the car to off road height. Take it back to the dealers and push for 2 new struts. Sounds like 1 is goosed but good safe practice to change an axel pair Or that's what you should insist on. |

No warning lights and the car rises at a reasonable rate so smallish leak seems most likely.

Are they doing both? I would press them for both if you can on safety grounds. |

I tried but unfortunately it's not strictly a safety issue as the sides are linked so deflation of one will cause deflation of the other. He said the other one was in good condition so perhaps it has already been replaced.

Perhaps the air bag in itself is not an issue, but it has an integral shock absorber, and they should always be changed in pairs - at least thats what I was always taught |

I didn't realise that the shock absorber is integral to the unit. In that case I'll push for changing both sides.

Yer there shocks with like an air doughnut round them. Same where in the US you can buy replacement airbags to go on the original shock, there are varied reports and not that much of a saving. Push for both to be done as there £350+/- per corner without labour. |
