I do all my charging at home overnight on cheap rate electricity and charge to 100% everytime. The one thing I have started doing is charging slower, between 6-10A rather than 32A. Will it help? I probably won’t keep the car long enough to find out!

No it wont help, consider the current when discharging it can easily reach hundreds of amps so 32 amp whilst charging wont put any significant stress on the systems. BMW i3 Electric Car

I recently took delivery of a 2024 P460e, which I absolutely love!

It is my first electrified vehicle so I got a three phase Andersen A2 charger installed at home along with a tethered 22kW cable. We have a three phase supply and Andersen have confirmed that their remote diagnostics show the charger has been connected correctly.

When I charge my P460e, the maximum charging speed is 7.4kW and this takes about 4 hours to charge a flat battery. I was expecting 22kW. Andersen are saying that the speed may be restricted by the onboard charger in the car. When I have charged at fast chargers, I have had 50kW, although I appreciate these are DC rather than AC which may be the reason.

Is anyone able to charge at home at 22kW speed?

Thanks @Martin2 - you are absolutely correct. I have now also had this confirmed from the Range Rover Relationship Manager at the Range Rover Studio in Solihull where I collected the car.

A bit disappointing that they didn't go for a 22kW onboard AC charger. I'm guessing they will put this into the fully electric variant.
