I’ve had a UAD CarPlay system for just over a year; it works well in general but has some small glitches:

Yes, the reversing camera still pops up, and it has an FM tuner built in. You have the choice of using CarPlay or downloading apps (e.g. Google Maps, Spotify) directly to the screen and using that as the Infotainment system. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 Last edited by garyRR on 10th Apr 2024 6:51am. Gary thanks for that, gives me an option I’ll take a look on Ali Express and see if I can find a screen. |

That’s fine in my use case or to be precise my OAP dads case as long as he can still listen to Radio 2 or 4, still having a working reversing camera via the screen but have updated sat Nav via using Google maps or Waze he will be happy.

How is the sound quality? Is the audio still transferred via the fiber optic MOST? |

I have the unique audio / IDCore install in my new to me 2011 4.4, agree with Ramblin man on the aux plug, think I’ll hide that connection up some how, only issue I’ve found so far is sometimes the phone doesn’t connect calls but they show on the screen, (quite possibly user error) I still have full access to the standard screen and menus

I’ve just had Lee Yates fit the IDcore in a 2011 AB. All apps work, steering wheel controls work. Excellent installation work by Lee. If you are going down the IDcore route, I would highly recommend Lee. 2011 TDV8 4.4 AB Bournville Brown |

Just to add to this thread, I had it installed in my L322 and I use it for Android Auto, which works very well for Waze and music streaming etc.

Lee Yates mounted the phone mic on the steering column for my installation, seems to work very well. 2011 TDV8 4.4 AB Bournville Brown |
