Yeah, think mine was £355. Browsed on the trader at 405’s and insurance is still daft. Think last quote was £1200 odd for the reg I put in.

As a point of interest that might help others, I had the value set at £13,750 last year so asked him to try dropping it to £12000, but it made no difference, until he put it to £9750 when it dropped about £7 so left value at same as last year, £13750,

Thanks Pete. Still not opened the door on one, but I know I want V8, AB, opening panoramic roof, signature hifi and maybe HUD….. not an expert on all the options across the years. Need to do bit more research. Getting scared of ad blu as mentioned of may contribute to oil dilution. Thing is with all these things, you only tend to read bad stuff on forums, when folk need help… 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8 Previous cars : 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6 1999 Discovery Td5 ES 1995 BMW M5 3.8 6 speed 1992 Range Rover 3.9 Efi Vogue 1992 BMW M5 3.8 1988 BMW 735i SE 1989 Ford Sierra XR4x4 2.9i 1981 Ford Fiesta Supersport |

Just got back into a FF after a few years away. Insurance wasn`t pleasant at £1300 but knew this before buying. Its less than £100 extra per month than our previous SUV and its worth way more than that to me to be driving the FF so that made things easy to justify. 2016 5.0 Loire Blue

My current insurer SAGA have been unable to provide me with a renewal quote this year citing not being able to get any of their providers to quote for it! After a considerable amount of time visiting comparison websites and making numerous calls I finally got my 2019 405 AB insured with 'Ford Insure' who were the most competitive at £1626 which is only £60 more than last year but still high considering where I live, completely clean history and 15 years NCB. Worth the pain though! _______________________________________________

The insurance thing is quite baffling and a bit of a dark art I think. Timing seems to be everything. I've been looking these last few weeks and doing a lot of searches on the Meerkat comparison site, things I've noticed for me.

That is a good point as my new insurance policy does not start until 5th July. It is also tricky trying to get the required cover as well. There are companies out there now who have started excluding glass cover by default and you have to add it on an as an option. Also quite a lot of them out there, when it comes to glass cover, exclude sunroof & panroof glass from the windscreen cover. The policy I have purchased does give me all the cover I want but I will defo still looking at quotes on a daily basis just to see what else might pop up! _______________________________________________
