Circuit open indicates a break in the circuit, which could be anywhere. Usually brushes give good warning, and on the L322, the fan bearings will have gone before the brushes do, so you'd most likely have had audible symptoms if it were the cabin fan.

So replaced the resistor today and still no fan. Again all lights on dash lit and change as dial turned. Resistor getting hot, both the old one and new. Unless I get another suggestion, next to change is the fan. Any other thoughts appreciated |

Will I have any issues testing the new fan once installed with the airbags on the dash disconnected, ie. before full reassembly? My thoughts are no as long as I disconnect battery before reassembly. Anyone else's thoughts? |

It might trigger an airbag fault code and warning on the dash, but as you have an IID tool, you can easily clear that. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

So opened up the cabin filter air box today and was expecting to find access to fan to apply WD40. What I found was 2 vents obscured by “?flaps” that did not open when adjusting air inside with engine running or use of recycle switch. I now have a fan to fit. So far all fuses checked, resistor changed. Power to fuse 21 at rear. A/c is working as get cold air through when car moving. Pics enclosed of area with air box removed |
