Memory set button on seat working but not memorising

A bit of a strange one this.

I tried to store a setting in the seat memory by pressing the M button and then the 1 button. However, all it did was move the seat back to the old 1 position. Whichever number button I press after M it just moves it back to that position rather than storing it.

The M button doesn't light up when pressed so I thought that maybe the connection was loose but if the seat is moving to one of the preset positions and you press M then it stops moving so the switch must be connected.

I can't get the plastic side trim off the seat to have a proper look behind. I've undone the screw at the back and levered off all the tabs along the bottom but it seems to be attached somewhere at the top front and I can't find that either.

Any ideas?

I just tried it with mine and ignition has to be on. I have nothing technical to suggest on this one, but it doesn't say anything about ignition in the manual.

Andrew
You have to possition the seat where you want it, press M (should light up), memory number, then M again to finish the saving process. I think you need the ignition on as well.

Tits!

Just tried it with the ignition on and all is good.

I did check the manual (honest!) and it said that the ignition only needs to be on if the door is shut.

Thanks for the help.

Laughing That came out a bit wrong. It was aimed at me / the manual. Very Happy
