If indeed your ac drains are blocked it’s possible the water is from the ac evaporator tray overflowing. If it’s not that it definitely sounds like your windscreen leaks somewhere. |

I have just had the same issue on a Cayenne …same symptoms and this was the issue …..stripped out the evap plastic pipework , cleared drains , hopefully stays cleared , replaced the cabin filter at same time ….. re-installed in reverse … job done … There is usually lots of guidance on YouTube or on here for the RR …. You don’t need to get to the evaporator, which is a serious job, just concentrate your efforts on clearing the drain pipes and the tray will empty as normal. |

Well I had a bit of a poke around today and the AC drains are clear and flow beautifully. I lifted the carpet as best I could and the wetness is confined to passenger footwell only. Next area for investigation is the screen. Hard to see any leaks at the bottom of the screen with all that dash in the way.

Did a bit more stripping down this evening. I can see where the water has tracked down the metal dash supports and landed on the back of the glove box. Cant see much more than that at the moment as behind the dash is a very busy place.

Well done. Perhaps try some water on the windscreen? |

And cover the fuses first! Have you disconnected the battery? |

Could it be as simple as a sticky patch as seen on 'LR Time's Discovery' behind the A pillar cover? |

Yeah Ive seen that LR time episode and was hoping it would something simple like that. Today I made a rain testing rig. Its on the go there at the moment. Im gonna let it run for half an hour and then investigate.

Well after some extensive testing Ive finally found the source of the leak. Its not what I expected. During my "rain shower" I noticed water dripping off my curtain airbag. I followed this tiny trickle back to the upper corner of the passenger side windscreen.

I would suggest Stixall sealant. I've used it for loads of things from sticking air vents on the exterior of my house, to bonding garage door seals to the ground. It seems to be indestructible from what I can tell. |
