hi, i have a warning for the seat occupancy sensor, i changed the censor but that did not fix it, i think the fault is in the seat.
if i replace the whole seat, will i need to have it reset, or can i just change it

i dont think there will be a problem with the change over but i'd double check the connections on the sensor before changing the seat. ... - .- -.

Did you check if there is a fault code logged for the old sensor and did you clear it ?

As Dutchgit says, the airbag fault is a hard fault that means even when fixed you have to reset it with diagnostics...  Pete

If you change the seat, you will need to find a seat that's of a similar age, as the wiring/can-lin maybe different? And you have to avoid the 07 facelift seat change...

Weird Stan, when I removed the seat in my 2002 it threw the light which wouldn't cancel until I cleared it with the IID... Pete

i didnt have the iidtool then so i'm certain that the light went off with the replaced sensor. ... - .- -.

i had an airbag problem and didnt use the car for some time
when i started using it again, the light was off
as soon as some one sat in the seat, it came on and is on permanently now RR 2005 4.4 petrol
