i dont think there will be a problem with the change over but i'd double check the connections on the sensor before changing the seat. ... - .- -.

Did you check if there is a fault code logged for the old sensor and did you clear it ? |

As Dutchgit says, the airbag fault is a hard fault that means even when fixed you have to reset it with diagnostics... Pete

If you change the seat, you will need to find a seat that's of a similar age, as the wiring/can-lin maybe different? And you have to avoid the 07 facelift seat change... |

strange, i changed the occupancy sensor on my old 2005 td6 and didnt have to reset the warning light on the dash.. ... - .- -.

Weird Stan, when I removed the seat in my 2002 it threw the light which wouldn't cancel until I cleared it with the IID... Pete
