Thanks Dr Rob, trouble is though I'm abroad a lot working so trying to find a suitable time is rather difficult. Anybody know how long it takes for bodsy to do all the fluids?

Well as it happens my heater fan has been working all along. Turns out I think the blend motors have been stuck as it wasn't used for a while. I kept changing from screen demist to face vents and to floor a few times and now it's all working again. Blowing out nice and fast and very quiet too. A result I say, in not having to replace the motor.

It's also booked in at BG landrovers in Ross on the 15th April for a gearbox flush and new fluid and along with the diffs and transfer box too.

Nice. Not heard of BG. Do they have a Megaflush or just a normal drain and fill? Latter won’t change all the oil. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Mega flush Dr Rob, they near Ross on Wye. As I'm moving to South Wales shortly, I thought I try the local Indies and see how they fare.

https://www.bg4x4.co.uk/

My other overfinch has been in another garage for the last 4 weeks having the passenger side intake manifold replaced and drivers side exhaust manifold sorted. 4 bloody weeks, I'm not amused at all. Many many phone calls and been told different things but different people and as of this morning, it's still not ready. A company called MDP landrovers in raglan. Spoke to the guys at BG and told them about it and they said they hear about MDP all the time and he gets their work. So only one way to find out.

I've been off the site for several months due to a job change... but came back and see your new car!
It looks lovely, and you are right with it being a lovely drive.

Hopefully your blower doesn't need changing (Ive done it and its a ball ache of a job).

All the advice so far is sound. I'd add to plan to take off the donut and give it a damn good clean (another horrible job), check for boost leaks with the 4 hoses and at the throttle body, as well as the MAP sensor. If its not been done before then doing so will transform the drive!

At VERY least give the MAP a good clean. Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

I'm curious... how are you finding the ride compared to the older car? Still a magic carpet ride?

Hey ffrr lover long time no hear, how's things? I must admit it's a lot better ride than the older one, much much better. It just floats along so beautifully indeed. The heater blower is working, it's just very quiet and I thought it wasn't working, but it was standing for quite a while and when I changed the air flow a few times with feet, screen etc etc it works much better.
I'm going to do the donut and maf sensor cleaning soon as I get time. I'm just going to order the 4 hoses as a matter of course seeing as I'll be removing donut to clean it. Sods law I won't change them and one will split no sooner as I've put it back on.
CVD, What's that then? I've not read anything about that. But then again, I've not read much about the 4.4 lol. So far so good, much prefer it over the 3.6 and would love to keep my red overfinch but sadly it's got to go in the next few weeks. I should have gone for the 4.4 sooner, and the power is immense.

I'm keeping well, thank you. New job, new stresses, but enjoying everything.

As mentioned, CVD is the active shocks. They are soft when travelling normally, but tighten when needed (such as cornering) to minimise body roll.
Its been mentioned that the non CVD (you other car) ride is superior for comfort hence my question. Im glad yours is floating and you are happy Thumbs Up Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Ah that explains why the new one drives better than old one then lol. I noticed straight away but thought maybe cos the red one was older and the shocks were worn, who knew eh? Thanks mj. Do you still have your FF overfinch ffrr lover? The amount of work you did on it was unreal.

I do still have the car, yes.
The shine has worn off due to a couple of long running issues, and I'm trying to not scratch the itch to change it. I've been eyeing up a few LWB L405's... Rolling Eyes

One of my more frustrating issues is due to a ride that is harsh (hence my earlier query). There are other thread on this which I have been monitoring for a long time with no luck yet. There are a couple of things I'm going to try... but if I don't crack it then I'll have to throw in the towel. Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Yes I remember you saying about the ride since day one. Unfortunately I can't help you there as I know nothing about the 4.4 or the suspension until you and mj told me.
But I knew instantly when I took it for a test drive that it was a hell of lot smoother and firm compared to my red one. I drove from Wales to Birmingham and back last weekend and this weekend and was enjoying the ride so much that I even didn't give it any beans, just stuck the cruise on 70mph and wafted along in sheer comfort. Sorry that doesn't help your cause and adds to your woes.
