Something has come to my attention about the wheel caps I wanted to share for transparency here.

After being out for about a year now, it's become apparent that some are suffering premature wear and tear, in applications where there's a lot of road salt and/or cleaning chemicals used. The metal content in them makes them a bit more vulnerable to these harsh conditions than we initially anticipated and tests suggested.

There are steps we can take to combat this issue and make sure the caps last as long as possible. One option is to apply a protective layer of lacquer before installing them onto your wheels. Another might be a product like Smartwax's "Rim Wax" that is specifically designed to safeguard wheel surfaces from environmental damage.

However, despite this, the savings compared to genuine Range Rover caps (lifespan unknown) are pretty significant. At just £27.95 for a set of 4 with delivery included, ours offer fantastic value. Even if you had to replace them every year, it would still take you 7-8 years to match the price of genuine caps, which will set you back over £200 per set.

So moving forward, lacquer or Rim Wax is recommended before fitment. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

Thanks for such an honest update. I have just ordered another set as a precaution although mine are still perfect.
