It seems like the cable loom from the part I bought from ebay(see above) fixed my issue. Its half the price of the part from maltings. In addition you get a genuine fuel filter and housing. Im not sure if they would fit to L322. This summer I will compare the fuel filter to the one I have on the car now.

The cable on its own isn't available anymore, and the assembly for a 4.4 TDV8 is £300+. However, the loom from the 3.6 TDV8 fits and an entire assembly can be had on ebay for <£30, which you can remove the loom from and add to your car.

For those that are struggling to find the genuine LR sensor harness which is no longer available separately to the fuel filter assembly - it is a Ford part. The part numbers are 6C119155BE
and 1685716 and can be bought for £40 on eBay.

been getting this on and off for a couple of weeks and had been hunting all over for the replacement parts, much appreciated the heads up on it being a Ford part! 2011 L322 Autobography - a lot of bells and some of the whistles...owner with no idea!

Replacing the harness worked for me. Done more than 3000km and not a single time came that RP warning. I replaced it with a new one from a fuel housing assy for a RR sport 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

That's 4 or 5 of us now that have used that tip to solve the Water in Fuel error code that keeps popping up and showing "Restricted Performance" on the dash display.

Thanks for the tip. I smeared Lanoguard grease on the connector two weeks ago, and no error code since. Coincidence? Time will tell.

NB you will need to dab a bit more on, mine only lasted 6 months, I asked my Dad if he used anything on his boat, that was waterproof grease type of products, and he gave me a little bit of Aquaslip, so far so good

Carlube Aquaslip Marine Waterproof Grease - its not cheap to buy sadly, but he had some left over for me to use, otherwise I would not have used it.

Petroleum Jelly ( Vaseline ) will only last so long I reckon, your mileage may vary !

Hi guys
so I have been getting this intermittently.
With MOT day I thought crap it might fail if it throws the error
So I unplugged it.
Immediately the dash warning did not go off
So I thought ok it's a NC or NO circuit and unplugging should hide the error for MOT.
But
then it came on 10 mins later.

So what is it a broken wire along the line?
Is that why ppl replace the harness?..

I still have this problem too, kind of learnt to live with it. It comes and goes at it pleases. It never goes off she it comes and car is on until it is off and parked for a while then it is just pure luck if it comes again or not. Never comes on while driving only when I start the car. Definitely water in fuel and definitely something to the with fuel priming with that damn sensor being broken or something. Lots of Vaseline or little bit Vaseline has been used in and around the sensor. Helps but still comes back annoyingly. Housing needs to be changed I think, but I will leave that to another fix I will combine with to do later. Range Rover 2012 4.4 TDV8 - current
