Drivers mirror juddering

My drivers side mirror is developing a 'judder' when opening from the closed position which of course can only worsen with use ? No problem when it closes.
How can I get to the innards of the mechanism to apply some grease or whatever is needed to reduce this judder. Question RR owner

A first and simple step would be to try spraying some silicon lubricant between the arm and mirror housing, and then opening and retracting the mirror a few times to spread it between the moving parts 2012 TDV8 Westminster in the New Forest

Be careful Old-un...... Those pictures do not apply to a 2010-2012 mirror. They are completely different! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile
