Help with Android head Unit Install on '04 L322

Hey guys, so I went ahead and bought an Android headunit from Aliexpress that had some great reviews from other L322 owners. I dropped the system off with my audio tech and when he got into it he said that the plugs are not compatible. I have an '04 L322 with the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 system and I have been reading that some people needed a Quad Lock extension but my tech said that neither of the amps have quad-lock, perhaps that is because it is the logic system? I'm seeing people mention something about a harness under the glovebox? Anyway, i'm quite confused at this point and am trying to narrow down what part i need to make this work. i've gone ahead and attached the pictures of the plugs and the amps. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all so much

One part of the loom should be quite long. It needs feeding down through the dash to a module behind the glove box.

I'd suggest contacting the seller on AliExpress - they normally have an installation video available to send. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thanks for the reply! So you're saying that there is a brain under the glovebox that this system speaks to? Sorry i'm a near noob in the car audio depo. I have reached out to the seller as well. Thanks!

It might be different on your 04 and I've only fitted systems on an 06 and 10 before, but on those vehicles there is a module tucked right up behind the glove box by the bulkhead, barely visible. On the loom supplied with the screen, there may be a part of it with a longer cable on it. If so, this will probably be the bit that plugs into the module behind the glove box. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Ah! Yea, unfortunately, there is no loom provided :/

Also, i don't think that this applies to an '04

You need the 5 mtr extension lead which goes through to the rear cubby...

Depends which unit you have but you may need to cut the plugs off and hard wire it in, the plan for what goes where is still in the earlier parts of this thread.

This removes the original amp but I found the internal amp in the head unit was OK for my non Dolby ears...!! Pete

I know on my L320 due to the fibre network I had to use this bad boy

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255745304059

Not the exact same one btw

To basically make it analogue and just plug it into headunit that way.

I am not 100% sure of the L322 logic 7 2004 setup though. Its actually a sport Sad

Not anymore, 4.4 TDV8 now Very Happy
