I changed the o-ring in the fitting. It was very flattened and starting to crack |

I’m now doubting my own fix. I was able to see coolant on the lhs of the cooler in the V with a camera. However, now I think about it, the pipe is on the rhs so where did the water come from to get to the lhs?

I've had similar, and it was caused by the heater pipes joining the small plastic manifold next to the oil cooler.

My leak was from flattened o-rings that are in the pipes at the front of the V around the thermostat area. The coolant dripped from the connection along the V and down the back of the bell housing.

Sorry Andy, I didn’t mean to hijack your thread. Just thought it useful to keep similar issues in the same place. |

Snap! 45x4mm o-rings were flat. As you said coolant leaked into the back of the pump housing and then into the V. Tricky to find but very easy to fix. Absolutely worth doing for anyone who has drained the coolant. |

The originals aren't round, they are a flat ring. I used 45 x 3.5 Viton 75 but very recently took the opportunity to replace both hoses along with all other hoses in the V as the radiator had developed a leak. |

A cheap pressure test kit can be bought on Ebay or Amazon... Takes the guesswork out of the equation...
