Probably one of the reasons is because the engine bay hasn't been repainted from the car's original silver. 2017 SDV8 Autobiography |

All that work done and the engine's been out, but still silver in the engine bay, 'custom' back box for that Maccy D's 'Respeck' and hasn't bothered to update the V5.

Doesn't look half bad though does it - lovely colour. Wonder what the reserve is!

I'm at a loss as to why you would go to all the bother of an engine swap and respray and then have it finished with awful paintwork and the front plastics missing.

Also missing the silver trim on the lower edge of the tailgate and on zooming in, looks to have had a poorly finished rust repair in that area too. Other photos show the new paint to be orange peely in places, no wonder a machine polish is mentioned

Looking closer - the original paint is visible in places and the front bumper fitting around the nearside light is poor. Sad really as the idea seems good but the execution is not. |

Well spotted! "The glass and doors were removed during the respray, ensuring full coverage" Shame they didn't remove the bumpers and side trims to make sure they didn't end up with flaky edges. Looks to have been a quick blowover rather than a decent job. No wonder they haven't declared the colour change - it's self-healing back to its original colour. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.
