Hi, If you disconnect the battery before taking any relays out should be fine, just remember to put them in before reconnecting the battery.

Hi Benjerbustmills, it's up to you, I would say it's not strictly necessary but I've been on this forum long enough to know that they do strange things with the electrics if you mees with them when live.

Removing the battery and the ECU from a 4.4 TDV8 is not a 5 minute job.

Ha Ha, yes, a bit like that, but I've changed so much on mine that every 5 years I'm actually a rotating a new car though my driveway piece by piece
