The time has come to consider selling my pride and joy. For many years now it has done less than 2K miles a year. When I look on auto trader and the like, the value shows as high as £20,00 but when I look on forums etc the price can be as low as £12,000.
What’s your guesstemet for a December 2011 Vogue, immaculate inside and out, full service, I’m the second owner since 2013.
48,500 miles, always been kept in my garage, covered in a soft cover.
Done the usual things we do over the years, remapped, mega flush, upgraded the wheels, changed starter motor, battery etc, usual sort of things, too many to remember.
I won’t be offended with your suggestions, I just don’t want to look stupid when I advise it.

Bad time of year to sell and prices are dropping as insurance is putting people off. Do you really need to sell it now or can you wait? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

If I remember right there was an L405 on AT from £14.5. Nearer 3 times the mileage and a bit tatty, but those prices aren’t helping……

I’d say maybe £15k to £18k….? No expert though….

Some folk with lower mileage L322s wanting daft money… fine if you are prepared to wait.

I agree with the others, now is not a good time to buy due to market fluidity (wow that just popped out and mid beer) so if you can hold onto it for a while it may well come up again.

That said, now is the best time to offload a 4 x 4 especially if it's a hard winter but we've had no snow around here at all so even that's not really pushing demand.

Best price you'll get is by waiting for that 1 enthusiast that's just watching the market for the exact colour and spec they want, it matching yours, and willing to pay over the odds for it, a unicorn so to speak. I did, and drove 3 hours just to go see it and bought it on the spot, but then 6 months ago there were no white ones for sale anywhere with decent mileages.

But if your stuck, need some fast money and your having to offload it then there's not a lot of room, WBAC will give you a pitiful percentage of it's real value, dealers the same, unless you can offload it in exchange for something they've had on theor books for ages.

If you can stand out from the crowd somehow. I saw the other day an umbrella for sale, came with a free Range Rover, awesome

As others have said, if you're in no hurry to sell then you have nothing to lose by putting it up at around £20,000 and waiting. They do sell at that sort of value to people who prefer the L322 to later models and want a really mint example.

I know - I paid that for my Westminster in November - Santorini black with ivory interior one owner from new, FSH, excellent condition and 67,000 miles. I specifically wanted this spec (with no aftermarket modifications) and the latest L322 (i.e. 2012) and was prepared to pay what is probably slightly over the odds for the one I was after. I looked at several at around that price point so I don't think it's unrealistic. For me it was the low mileage and condition / history that made the difference between a value of say £15,000 and one of £20,000.

You just have to wait for that one person who, like me, is looking for your specific car. There are plenty of people who prefer the perhaps more 'classic' look of the L322 over the replacement model (lovely though it is) and there's always a market for low mileage well maintained and cherished examples of almost any car.

Just my opinion.

Agreed Shaun. The L322 is more classic and dare I say, more desirable than an early L405. I’m looking for one too, specifically an early 4.4 petrol V8. Sold one a few years ago and kicking myself now!

Some good points, I can’t help thinking that a low mileage top condition vehicle like yours will become a collectible item rather than a vehicle for regular use so keep it wrapped up safe and warm for a discerning buyer like Shaun who’ll appreciate it.

I would suggest that the mileage and low ownership will make it appealing. ULEZ and rising insurance may put some off but there is definitely a market for a clean L322 as they are becoming rare. Last January I bought a late November 2012 Westminster with 53k miles and 3 owners. Mine was well cared for with lots of receipts.

Based on what I paid, I would suggest yours is in the £14-17k bracket. If the spec and colour is what someone is looking for they might pay more. If you want a quick sale £13-15k would probably have buyers racing to get it.

Good luck with the sale if you decide to let it go. There are always people looking for one on the for sale section here.

Yeah, funny how when your buying it's always "the best combination, rare to have that specific trim, never going to see one like this ever again and at that price I'm giving it away".

As others have said, it depends how motivated you are to sell, and if people really prioritise having a low mileage one. Low teens would probably attract interest but you can find decent enough looking 4.4 TDV8 L322s with less than 100k for less than 10k now. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue

FWIW mine has been on here and AT for 6 weeks.
No real interest, even after several price reductions.
Now £16995.
