Best thing to do is to identify the cause of the problem. The sytstem will clean itself unless it can't regenerate due to faulty sensors or it's generating soot too fast due to intake air leaks. A flush won't help in the long run nor will DPF replacement. Did the garage do diagnostic scan on the ECU? - this would identify any faulty sensors. A smoke test on the intake will identify any air leaks. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Many thanks for your input, the garage, perhaps I wasn't listening properly when he called, I'm sure no sensor fault or air leak was talked about, but I can ask them for more info.

Treat the root cause not the symptom. Usually an air leak. Loads of thread topics on here.

Many thanks for your input, should the diagnosing garage, who is also an MOT station, be able to find if there is a air intake leak, and where would this leak likely to be? |

The stock exhaust is SS and on a deisel you won't find any power gains with a better exhaust. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Yes, if they know what they’re looking for. High pressure smoke test will find a hose leak. Do not take it to a main dealer or a non LR specialist Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory" 2025MY Defender D350 90 in Silicon Silver on coils 1974 Series 3 Lightweight = "Millie" Many, many other Landies over the years My preferred specialist: www.glenrands.co.uk -------------------------------------------------- |
