They should be relatively on the ball, but there have been horror stories in the past with rains sensors not working etc. Make sure they bring new side trims (the black plastic pillar covers) as these must be replaced to avoid wind noise. I think they must also replace the strip at the top. |

They're here now (I am with Admiral Insurance so National Windscreens - I rang at 09:30 this morning and they arrived at 13:00), (I am in the middle of refinishing my air intake as well). They seem to be on the ball, have the right screen, and new clips for the side pillars (they know about the wind noise issue) and the new top finisher. Showed my how the mirror and sensor comes off the screen too.

They seem to have done a good job, left me to fit the scuttle and wipers as requested. Decided not to paint the scuttle in the end but used some "Black Chrome" stuff I had knocking about. They main fitter knew what he was about, said they had to push the side pillar fixings "in" and then replace with metal rivets when refitting. Advised to wait an hou before driving to let the goo dry.

Washing my car yesterday and noticed that the "new" windscreen has a large chip out of it at the edge of the screen, mainly hidden by side finishing trim....
