My Land Rover collection has changed a lot over the last few months, now in addition to Matty, I have got this Range Rover which has replaced my 2004 Discovery 3.

This is a 2006 L322 2.9 TD6. Severe battery drain problem, Rough bodywork as the owner before the last guy had a stroke while driving it, then took a rattle can to the side of the car.

It will need a rear prop really soon and I suspect a front diff too. Drives really well. It is my daily driver as of Tuesday. But off the road until then as it has no mot until Tuesday.

Please tell me it actually doesn't look like that in pic?

Finally, this beast is on the road. Replacement rear prop, new MOT, changed the side vents, fitted my 20" alloys and changed the rear lights.

No no no, don't panic, I was doing a job on another vehicle and just put the crowbar down while I did the side vents

She will be getting new panels and a respray, this motor will be immaculate once I have restored the bodywork. But that will wait until the summer

It's lovely to see these old girls getting some TLC and a second life (as long as we accept your crow bar story...)

The tyre was less than 500 miles old, the problem I had as did others who got a puncture in the same location, some knob dropped nails on a slip road so the tyre lost pressure and blew within 200 yards of entering the dual carriageway, but had to be limped another mile to a layby, then I got angry and limped it another 8 miles to get the tyre replaced again. So basically, the tyre was new and pressures had all been checked the day before. It is all fine now though. I wish builders would not leave nails and screws loose in buckets in the back of their trucks! Common issue here. Normally happens on a slower road though. 5 other vehicles at the layby including an AA recovery truck, and another vehicle had done the same as me and limped there truck to the same tyre place as me. If I ever had the fortune of finding out which builder it was, I would happily empty a bucket or screws, bolts and nails on their driveway weekly.
