Wow, very unusual to hear of a 4.4tdv8 diff going awol. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Hi Shaun, you don’t need to take the subframe down, the diff will wiggle out through the side once the drive shafts and prop are removed, its s a tight fit and is heavy so watch your fingers as it comes out, Not the easiest of jobs but is doable at home. |

Have you checked the front driveshafts? If one has popped out slightly, you will lose all drive. The right hand one is prone to doing this especially if there has been work done on the driveshaft in the past and the C clip not replaced. |
