My understanding is that this relates to “keyless go” entry BUT in the discussion it’s suggested that vehicles as old as 2010 are affected. I find this a bit confusing as my 2012 does not support keyless go to my knowledge; you have to press the unlock button for access.

Perhaps keyless go was an option ? TDV8 4.4 2012

Saw something on a predominantly US forum where they were asking why UK insurance is so high compared to theirs. Seems the yanks aren’t seeing the same theft levels either. 2018 P400e AB LWB

It’s just software, from what I was told it will only take all day if that’s how long it takes them to get around to it.

That is what I suspected, 7 hours sitting on the lot and 15 minutes in the workshop I suspect! Sod it, I will take the replacement vehicle they offered even though I dont really need it!

Had mine done, dealer said they had to replace the key internals as part of it and now programming keys is only possible my main dealers due to new encryption. __
