Home > Wheels & Tyres > L460 SV - 20" Wheels Possible? |

Looking at an online configurator for brake parts (I was looking anyway for something else), the L460 is listed with either 380 or 400mm front rotors. 400mm rotors do fit under 20's with a little clearance, and IIRC from a mate's S6 you can also fit them under 19" wheels for winters. So in theory they should clear just fine, but perhaps finding a 20" wheel from someone to try out first before committing to buying four expensive wheels would be a good idea! The only issue is likely to be caliper width, or some peculiarity with the shape of LR wheels. |

Thank you that's helpful. I suspect I may have to buy one and test fit it without a tyre and hopefully return it if it doesn't fit! There are no 20" wheels for sale anywhere that I can see. |

In theory, would an L322 or L405 wheel fit? I know the stud styles are different but I know you can fit L405 wheels to L322's and L460 wheels to L405's, so in theory the L322 onto an L405 should work although the L405 wheels are about 10mm greater offset IIRC. Plenty more of these about for very little money. Or even, assuming your dealer is relatively friendly, could you ask the parts or service desk if they had a wheel that you could try off one of their stock cars? My overriding experience with parts departments is that they are the most helpful bit of the business and usually quite willing to help with daft requests. If they think you're about to drop several thousand pounds on wheels with them they'll probably find a way of checking what will and won't work! |

Could you ask your dealer to test fit a 20" spare wheel from a vehicle that has the 20" rims before you collect your vehicle? Late in 2009 whilst waiting for my 3.0 D4 to arrive and no other 3.0 D4s had yet arrived, my dealer was happy to try fitting an 18" D3 rim to a new 3.0 RRS for me. |

I can certainly ask them yes, I don't know whether any other Range Rovers will even come with 20" though!

It's well worth asking them; you're spending the thick end of six figures with them, the least they can do is work out whether the 20" wheels will fit, even if it involves a phone call to another dealer who has stock with 20" wheels fitted! Where there's a will there's a way and all that.. |

I have 20s on my L460 but I think a 60 side wall might push you close to the chassis outrigger in tight corners etc. duratracs are big. Let us know though, if it works without rubbing it would be an excellent combo. |
