Is there a particular reason for wanting Bilstein?

I fitted Bilstein front struts and rear shocks ex UK because they were considerably cheaper than LR ex UK although still quite expensive. The struts were fitted with Dunlop air-springs. |

No real reason tbh, only personal preference. Bilstein are a dedicated suspension company, only dealing with that. BorgWarner/Deplhi make everything from clutch plates to alternators. |

Be careful - Bilstein rear air-springs are the shorter variety used on earlier L322s with shorter rear shocks and will split open on MY07-09 TDV8 and all MY10-12 vehicles if the vehicle is used at off-road height on rough ground where the shocks can fully extend. |

Longer non-CVD rear shocks were fitted to TDV8 only versions of MY07-MY09 and all CVD rear shocks are the same, longer length.

I bought genuine LR rear air-springs from Island4x4. |
