I've used Thinkware dashcams for years - now on the F880Pro. Works well, good image quality and night vision. the rear camera comes with a cable that is plenty long enough for Range Rovers and can be pulled through the tailgate grommets reasonably easily. The front camera is unobtrusive and doesn't have one of those pointless screens on it.

Any old dash cam will be useful to prove non-fault. They tuck quite nicely behind the rear view mirror, out of sight for the driver. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

I forgot to mention, you may find this useful. I wrote a how-to for both mid and late cars:

I have used knock off go-pros in all my cars for years. They are extremely cheap, come with lots of fitting options have good resolution and wide angle lenses. Just ensure you set up the cycle record and for it to turn on and of with external power. I fit a cheap usb 12v inverter up in the roof consol area and run the usb cable to the top of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror where the go pro is fitted. 2007 TDV8 VSE

You can clip it to the back of the headlining. If you gently lever it down, you can feed a cable through and down the rear pillar (these also pull off quite easily) into the rear fuse box and hey presto. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

It's the clip/mounting that I'm head scratching over for the Garmin Mini

Stick it to the window and mount it in the upper tailgate?

Removing the L322 tailgate upper trim panel requires great care.

I got a couple of these almost 10 years ago, and both are still working well, great image quality, and loads of features, G-sensor, etc.

I’ve got one of these and switch it into whichever car I’m using, you can get moody fittings on the bay - it’s a 10mm ball if I recall. I was thinking of getting a rear one and also pondering where to mount it, but it’ll probably go in the top of the screen so I can switch it onto the defender easily. |
