A B C D Pillar Trim Removal

Apologies if this has been asked before, but do the satin black pillar trims simply unclip using a trim removal tool? Thinking of removing to clean up and maybe respray. 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

No they're secured by screws.
You can get to those for the front doors by prising away the rubber seal to the glass having first rolled the window down.

Discussed in this thread : https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic66649...r+finisher
And I'm sure I've seen another somewhere with more detail including photos. But of course cannot now find it.

Sadly it is a rather more complex affair for the rear door trims because the glass does not retract fully into the door owing to the proximity of the wheel arch, preventing access to the lower screws. So for these I'm afraid it's door card off and glass out before you can think about replacing the external trim panels.

Hope some of this is useful.

IIRC originally the A pillar trims were fixed with rivets .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Could well be.
I'm fairly sure that when I checked the front door B-pillar trims they were secured with screws. But that might prove only that they'd been replaced, particularly as they appear unblemished.

Unlike those on the rear doors which have still to be addressed.

B pillar trims were always screwed. Workshop manual shows them as being screwed to the doors.
