Can one of you geniuses design me a way to bung this tube?

I need a new radiator drain plug, but none are listed for the 4.2 supercharged.

My plug is in the rad, but coolant still comes out of the drain pipe. I shouldn't have had the audacity to use a drain plug to drain the coolant Rolling Eyes

So I need to bung the drain pipe "stub", which is the tube that the hose is attached to in the picture below. I was that mad that I thought about shoving a cork in it Rolling with laughter

The pipe itself is about 10mm long with no thread on it or in it, so I need one of you geniuses to think of how I can block it to stop any coolant coming out!

Have you taken the 'tap' out and checked for a damaged 'O' ring or debris in the valve?
If you do choose to block it up, it'll need to hold ~1.5bar pressure...

Thanks.

I did take the red tap out and one O ring fell off. So I put a new one on and it’s holding the coolant now, but I wanted belts and braces to be honest.

Exactly the same thing happened to me as well. I had to remove one of the bottom pipes to drain the system though as it was way too slow via the tap.

I too have changed the O rings but I still have a drip when the system is under pressure. Solving it is on hold at the moment but I will get round to it sometime.

I could not find a new tap insert for a supercharged but I bought one LCM000010 that looks identical but I have not tried it yet.

https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/l...drain.html have them listed for RR 2002 to 2009

I bought mine from British Parts UK for less than £2.50
