Well...I had an EGR problem with restricted performance. I decided to blank it to save some money but so far I have spent much much more. I really regret it.

I assume you had the EGR function mapped out in the ECU as well as physically blanking it? A broken throttle plate function would cause a EGR fault, as I said earlier, as it's used to regulate EGR flow. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thanks, two different failure modes with two different causes though, yours appears to have eaten itself trying (and failing) to reach a commanded position due to excessive friction on the spindle in it's bushings or carbon build-up.
The one I posted a photo of moved freely but kept changing position due to the measured position not conforming to the commanded position, the cause was the oil ingress past the spindle seal contaminating the electrical component connections - the symptoms are similar to to those mentioned above, hence the reason for posting.
