I'd be putting all back to standard if I were you....I reckon it's been bodged Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Thanks, two different failure modes with two different causes though, yours appears to have eaten itself trying (and failing) to reach a commanded position due to excessive friction on the spindle in it's bushings or carbon build-up. The one I posted a photo of moved freely but kept changing position due to the measured position not conforming to the commanded position, the cause was the oil ingress past the spindle seal contaminating the electrical component connections - the symptoms are similar to to those mentioned above, hence the reason for posting. |
