It's not the mileage but the age that will determine the service and what has been done before your ownership? Most people change their oil at between 5 and 7 k miles on these and it's an easy DIY job with a Draper oil extractor so no need to pay a garage or do it for a while.

What is a "software update to the gearbox" and what is the effect if any ?

Similar to JayGee's suggestion, I would add it depends what has been done before also. If there's no evidence of something being done, I'd add that to the service.

A bit of hesitation during throttle applications. Brake cleaner is fine to use. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Dealer or indy with dealer level diagnostic kit will update the programming ( for a small fee). Mine felt better but couldn't put my finger on why? Probably worth doing but maybe not essential. The gearbox went into later cars so likley new software reflects tweaks and improvements over many more years that the 2 it had in the L322. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
