What sort of items are changed / checked / etc on a 60,000 mile service please?

Mileage currently 57888

New Oil cooler fitted in June this year with 55568 miles.

(Would another oil / filter change be required taking into account above comment?)

For a service including oil which local indy has suggested should be done, they have quoted £480 + VAT.

It's not the mileage but the age that will determine the service and what has been done before your ownership? Most people change their oil at between 5 and 7 k miles on these and it's an easy DIY job with a Draper oil extractor so no need to pay a garage or do it for a while.
If it was mine and I had no service history ;
Thorough inspection by a LR specialist
Cabin filter and 2x air filter
Fuel filter
Brake fluid
Battery
Both diffs and transfer box
Gearbox service or 'megaflush'
Replace tyres if over 5 yrs old and any age related cracks
Wiper blades
4 wheel alignment
Software update to gearbox
Clean MAP sensor 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

What is a "software update to the gearbox" and what is the effect if any ?

Similar to JayGee's suggestion, I would add it depends what has been done before also. If there's no evidence of something being done, I'd add that to the service.

A good service schedule to follow is:

Every 1,000 miles
Clean the MAP sensor
Inspect the 4x air intake manifold hoses, plus charge hoses and throttle body union for soot build up, white gunk or splits
Check tyres and pressures

Every 5,000‐7,000 miles
Oil and filter change

Every 10,000-15,000 miles
Air filters, pollen filter
(Plus oil and filter change)

Every 2 years or 25,000 miles (whichever is sooner)
Fuel filter
Diff oils
Transfer case fluid change

Every 5 years or 50,000 miles
Transmission fluid and filter
Auxiliary belt and tensioner (check, only replace if noise and/or visible wear to belt - may not be required until 10 years/100,000 miles)

Personally, I service the vehicle myself. Unlike anything else on a Range Rover, servicing them is actually really simple (with the exception of transmission fluid and filter) and requires little more than a socket set and a screwdriver.

Oil and filter costs me about £60
Air filters cost me about £17
Pollen filter is about £20
Fuel filter is normally about £30
2L diff oil costs £22
Transfer case fluid costs £27
Genuine ZF Transmission Service kit £200
Auxiliary belt, fan belt, tensioner and pulleys kit £180 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Sorry to jump in on someone else’s thread with a question.

The service schedule breakdown is great so thanks for sharing. What symptoms does a dirty map sensor exhibit? Mine has not been cleaned since owning the car (1 year and a couple of thousand miles but I have never cleaned the map sensor). Is brake cleaner ok to use.

I use brake cleaner. 5 min job. Worth doing  Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
